WORLD AT YOUR FEET

You had the world at your beautiful feet

Lapping up your beauty and enchanting glitz

You had the world drooling and swooning to your words

Silky and velvety, they tug at human minds and titillate cognitive cords.

You drew great crowds with your hypnotic songs

Bringing tears to long dried lashes with your soothing tongue

You had the world at your feet

Until you decided to play god, in a sinking ship, to drunken and disorderly crew.

Merci.
