SELF ADULATION

October 4, 2011. 5.12am.

I am beautiful
Inside out delightful
My gait Απϑ grace suave
My beauty that of the grave.

I am beautiful
I hear it even from the lips of a mortal fool
My glitzy crown long since tarnished
From constant touching by hands now burnished.

Long past I was a beauty
The darling Απϑ prince of the city
I held sway in this kingdom, held in exaltation
But died at the hands of my self-adulation.

I am beautiful
Inside out delightful
Not until I saw my tarnished crown
Did I realize I have copped an eternal frown Απϑ fallen way down.

5.28am

Merci.
