Burning Tree

Reading Time: 1 min read

Burning tree, the leaves are turning red and bloodied

Burning red, and falling free

Once green, now utterly dead

The leaves are falling into the burning blitz
Shrunken, shriveled and losing a valiant battle

image of burning tree

The leaves have cried, now dried up with no more joy or sorrow to give

Only a final salute to the hard and harsh realities of life’s daily struggle

These leaves turning red, shed of beauty and falling free and loose

Their time is up and their day is done

They fall with nothing more to give

But their spaces to a younger and more vibrant sprout making its way out into the shining burning sun.

Merci.
